The Need
The Hellenic Parliament required the development of a software application in Greek to manage MPs’ speaking time. Additionally, the system needed to support the use of MPs’ magnetic NFC cards for speaker registration and electronic voting. The subcontractor was not only responsible for software development but also for training and guiding parliamentarians during the initial period of use.
The Solution
A Windows application was developed for the central management of all equipment, including the results display screens in the plenary room, stenographers’ computers, the timer connection, and communication with the Bosch Meeting Application. With the push of a button, the operator can control what is displayed on the results screens as well as the Parliament channel.
Additionally, an Android application was implemented for the Bosch Dicentis Multimedia system, enabling speaker registration and electronic voting for parliamentarians in Greek.
The Results
The project was successfully completed, delivering a seamless and efficient electronic voting and speaker management system for the Hellenic Parliament. The integration of the BOSCH Conference solution, along with the custom Windows and Android applications, enhanced operational efficiency, improved time management, and streamlined parliamentary procedures. With user-friendly interfaces and comprehensive training, MPs and administrators quickly adapted to the new system, ensuring smooth and reliable functionality
